From the Havergal CofE (C) Primary School
We desire for our children to start developing the knowledge, ideas, attitudes, and values necessary to live independent lives and gain from and contribute to society.
Havergal promotes care, civility, and attention through valuing strong ties between the school, home, church, and community.
With the backing of the Governors and staff, Christian ideals are included into the school's ethos and curriculum, but there is also consideration for and respect for other religions and cultures.
We think that the relationship between the church and education still has importance, and that the work of church schools is the best example of this.
We think that the Christian faith is the finest way to provide for the spiritual side of our lives, which needs to be developed and encouraged.
In our opinion, a church school ought to offer the greatest education possible while integrating into and operating within the context of the local Christian community.
In light of these considerations, we view our responsibility as communicating to the kids what, in our own words, education in the broadest sense and Christianity as taught by the Anglican Church mean to us.
Therefore, we pledge to uphold the highest standards of academic achievement through the two pillars of effective teaching methods and valuing individual faith in Jesus Christ, all of which are rooted in a safe and nurturing environment that will help every student reach their full potential in all facets of school life.
The Fruits of the Spirit serve as the foundation for the Christian ideals that we uphold at Havergal Church of England Primary School.
We demonstrate our love for everyone who contributes to the church and the community.
We are kind to everyone connected in any manner to the school.
As pupils in a Church School, we demonstrate our faith to others by how we conduct ourselves every day.
We take pride in God's creation.
We always practise self-control and discipline both inside and outside of school.
