The reason this is the first section of our vision statement is that we put children at the centre of all we do because we genuinely believe that the sky is the limit for what children can learn and do if they feel safe, loved, and supported.
We are a joyful, warm, and welcoming community school with students and families from a variety of philosophies, cultures, and backgrounds. Whenever we can, we celebrate this diversity.
We have three classes per year group from Reception to Year 6 at our main site, which is located at Station Road. Our brand-new annex, which opened in September 2019, is less than a mile away on Court Oak Road, where we currently have a Reception and Year 1 class permanently and will eventually have one class per year group, making us a four form entry school by 2024.
To ensure that the students and staff at the annex are part of Harborne Primary School, older students presently visit the annex frequently.
As co-learners on the educational journey, students, teachers, parents, and governors place a great importance on their assistance from their parents.
For the sake of the kids, it is crucial to us that parents and families support our mission and collaborate with us.
Our second goal is to "...create successful, confident students who have a natural love of learning, via an aspirational and motivating curriculum where everyone is valued."
We think that giving your kid a strong educational foundation will help them develop into lifelong learners and responsible citizens in a world that is rapidly changing.
At Harborne Primary, we support their success, but we also want to instil in them the ambition to pursue success long after they graduate.
