Welcome to our school. Our school is a vibrant and exciting community where many people come together to support the education of our children. We strongly believe that every child matters to God and as such the Board of Governors work with all the school community to ensure that our vision is delivered effectively. The roles of the governors combine challenging the headteacher and other staff members in a constructive way while also providing assistance. The Governors also ensure that the school has a suitable curriculum and accurately assesses our pupils needs; that the school is using its resources well; and that our Christian ethos pervades the life of the school. The Governing Board meets together at least once a term and is well supported by our Clerk who ensures a swift circulation of papers and timely communication through our online Governor Hub. Two governor subcommittees assist the entire governing body. As well as the formal meetings, Governors also visit the school regularly during school hours to see the school running, support areas and classes they are linked with and talk to both staff and children about specific things like English or Assessment. They also support the efforts of our PTA, who do fantastic work generating money and helping the school community.
