We focus on educating our students for the benefit of Allah by using a knowledge-based curriculum and referring to Greenfields as a knowledge-rich school. "So know (O Muhammad) that Laa ilaaha ill-Allah (none has the right to be worshipped except Allah), and ask forgiveness for your sin, as well as for (the sin of) believing men and believing women." [
The Qur'an, Arabic, and Islamic Studies are taught alongside other subjects like English (including phonics), mathematics, literature, spelling, handwriting, science, humanities (history, geography, and art), PE, RE & PSHE, and computing at our Muslim faith school to balance and enhance our curriculum.
Since information is important to us, we teach it for its own sake rather than merely to check boxes or reach predetermined percentages.
Since all students in a year group are required to know the same topics by the conclusion of each academic year, our knowledge-based curriculum is communal, which implies that students "share" their knowledge with one another.
We all agree that critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving cannot be taught separately or in isolation as they are essential life skills for the 21st century.
You can only use anything once you fully understand it, and using something is the skill.
