Near Barnsley, Doncaster, and Rotherham, in South Yorkshire's Thurnscoe, is the Gooseacre Primary Academy. We presently have twelve courses in the school, including three Key Stage 1 classes, six Key Stage 2 classes, and more than 300 students on our roll. In recent years, the school has improved at an impressive rate, and in July 2018, Ofsted determined that we were still an excellent school. We are proud to have achieved this status for a second time, which is due to considerable dedication and effort from the whole team of staff and wider academy community. We are dedicated to keeping up our rate of advancement. We will build on our successes, make sure that best practises are implemented throughout the school, and advance fresh ideas to improve our performance even further. The culture of our Academy is one that places a high value on high expectations. We put a lot of effort into making sure that our kids have every chance to realise their full potential because we want them to.
