Our goal is to collaborate with families and the community to educate our diverse student body in a way that fosters high academic achievement, inclusion, creativity, safety, and nurturing.
We think that by involving children in a rich, demanding curriculum within a community-wide culture of safety and respect, we can give all kids the tools they need to learn for the rest of their lives.
The DfE has emphasised the necessity of "creating and enforcing a clear and rigorous requirement on all schools to teach the essential British principles of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect, and tolerance of individuals with other faiths and views."
Class and whole-school regulations are crucial components of the school's ethos because they help us foster an environment where all students feel safe and content.
Children are taught the school's regulations at a young age and participate in creating rules, such as those for the playground.
Students are instructed on the importance of and justifications for school policies.
Police officers visit all of the school's students to discuss laws, rights, and responsibilities.
Year 6 participates in the Junior Citizens programme every year, which comprises teams assisting students in a variety of activities centred on what constitutes a weapon, age of responsibility, consequential thinking, road safety awareness, transportation, and personal safety.
Students are aware of the repercussions for breaking the rules at our school.
As they are in a secure and encouraging environment, students at Eastfield are actively encouraged to make decisions.
We as a school teach and set limits for your students to make wise decisions through a secure setting and an empowering curriculum.
Through PHSE, RE, and school assemblies, we spread awareness of our school's anti-bullying policy.
By implementing a whole-school approach to wellness through the Sandwell Well-being Charter Mark 2019, we support and encourage social, emotional, and mental health.
Through circle time and the school's PHSE curriculum, students are taught to know, understand, and exercise their rights and personal freedoms.
Through the school's e-safety programme (sponsored by Purple Mash) and PHSE, students are constantly given advice on how to enjoy their own liberties securely.
The Big Think was launched this year (a new SMSC programme to support the wellbeing of our children).
