I like the way that everyone is respectful and treated equally and when there’s problems like bullying or any form of maltreatment it is often taken up by the members of SLT
Both of my children achieved their full potential at Durham School. They grew to be academically able, emotionally intelligent individuals with excellent critical thinking skills and cracking senses of humour. They had a lot of fun at school, most of which we as parents are not party to. Durham School is a family, parents are an active and welcome part of school life. We all formed friendships that endure to this day. Some of our...
The school has old issues and new challenges. Old issues are: the ‘clicky’ kids and parents that have come through from the feeder schools make the lives of other kids, hell. Bullying from these children is rife both in our Boys and Girls houses. New issues seem to be: a high turnover of teaching staff, loss of great and well respected staff members, a teacher recently dismissed for inappropriate behaviour with a number of students....
