Through the School Council and student surveys, students have the chance to express their opinions.
Only student votes are counted in the selection of School Council Representatives.
Elected Pupil Associate Governors attend every Governing Body meeting to report on their opinions and those of their peers. They meet twice a term with the Chair of Governors and Headteacher to discuss governance issues and to understand how democratic committee meetings are conducted.
Throughout the usual school day, there is constant reinforcement of the value of following the rules to keep us safe.
Students are taught the importance of rules, why they are important, how they protect us and how to follow them, as well as the repercussions of breaking them.
In lower school, we have class discussions regarding environmental issues, and in higher school, we imitate Crown courts during Rule of Law afternoons.
