The school places a high emphasis on pastoral care and focuses on families and kids.
Even though all of our classes include computers, iPads, and interactive whiteboards, we respect and regularly teach classic skills like reading, penmanship, and phonics.
The emphasis is always on creative thinking, but we view these abilities as necessary tools.
A group of local parents founded The Children's House in 1973 to offer Islington high-quality early childhood education.
In 2005, we rented a Victorian school building on King Henry's Walk and inaugurated the Upper School in response to parents' requests to expand upon the Nursery programme.
Our current nursery, which is located on Elmore Street, serves kids between the ages of 212 and 4.
Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 are offered by the Upper School on King Henry's Walk.
They participate in a variety of weekly expeditions that give them regular access to outdoor learning, in addition to a wide range of activities and educational opportunities offered by the school.
Three sizable, well-lit classrooms, a secure playground, and the use of two church halls are all available to students in the upper school.
The King Henry's Walk Community Garden features a garden area reserved for the school.
