From the Castleford Wheldon Infant School and Nursery
In September 1993, Castleford underwent an area reorganisation, and Wheldon Infant School and Nursery was born. When the former Castleford Nursery and Wheldon Lane First School merged on the Nursery site, the school was initially inaugurated as a First School in September 1986. The school is close to Castleford's town centre, as well as nearby private houses and local businesses. Behind the school, there are lovely grounds with a sports field and a nature habitat. The children's happiness, security, and enjoyment of their educational experience are crucial if we are to promote learning for the future.
