At The Vale, we take great pride in being an outstanding school that allows students to succeed extraordinarily well in both their academic and personal lives (Ofsted 2007), as well as in having excellent staff-student connections, an engaging curriculum, and excellent teaching. Over 250 boys and girls between the ages of three and eleven are served by the Vale Primary Academy. The school is located three miles from Pontefract and four miles from Castleford on the border of Knottingley and Ferrybridge. All of our kids are held to high standards, and learning occurs in a purposeful, fun, and safe environment. Our teachers develop and deliver classes based on student learning needs and the most effective teaching techniques, assisted by a strong team of support professionals. All of our kids benefit from relevant, pleasant, and interesting lessons and experiences that encourage growth and achievement on a personal level. The key to our students' success in their academic endeavours is their comprehension of the following processes in their learning. In order to meet the needs of our kids, we are resolute in reflecting on our actions and making improvements. We have great relationships with and collaborate closely with stakeholders (Governors, parents, community), and together we are committed to giving all of our kids the finest education possible. The school takes pleasure in maximising every opportunity to promote the holistic development of each child and achieve the best possible results for every student.
