The basic British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and respect for people of all religions and beliefs were once again emphasised by the DfE in June 2014, and it is imperative that this be done.
Each class elects a representative for the school council and an Eco warrior.
The students that make up Brunton Voice routinely gather to create student regulations and make choices that affect the entire school.
When staff prepares the curriculum, the opinions of the children who are driving their own learning are taken into consideration (wonder walls).
We make sure that kids understand why rules are necessary by reinforcing them during assemblies and throughout the curriculum.
We urge kids to be accountable for their actions both inside and outside of school.
Our values, PSHE programme, and every connection in school are built on mutual respect.
Children are expected to respect all faculty members and other students.
Activities to actively encourage respect are part of our curriculum, for example.
At Brunton First, we go much further than simply instructing kids to "tolerate" others with different faiths and ideologies.
We make sure that kids are aware of, comprehend, relate to, and respect everyone in the school community and beyond.
The mutual respect that is one of our key values is part of what we teach.
While adhering to the established curriculum for Newcastle schools, our RE curriculum is created to reflect all the religions and faiths that are represented in our school community.
We reject all acts of contempt toward others, regardless of their ability, gender, or belief.
