Being the head teacher of Bridgewater School makes me feel incredibly proud. Volunteers and the dedicated staff team put in many hours to make sure the kids get the greatest education and care possible. We give our kids a stimulating, pertinent curriculum that satisfies their needs, guarantees they get the help they require, and promotes learning independence. Our school is strong on relationships, and we provide a friendly environment where everyone feels appreciated and comfortable. Kids thrive in this environment. We give the kids a variety of chances to shine, whether it's via their singing, acting, writing, painting, or sport. We also demand that every kid achieves at least the national standards in reading, writing, and math. Numerous accolades, including the Arts Mark, Investors in Children, International School Award, and Quality Mark in Basic Skills, have been received in recognition of our efforts. We are really fortunate to have three minibuses, a very well-attended breakfast club, a variety of extracurricular and vacation programmes, a family support worker, and an active Friends of Bridgewater group made up of parents, employees, and community residents. Our kids are involved in the community, and we're still involved in a lot of things that are related to the revitalization of Scotswood. Each student at Bridgewater will be given the opportunity to reach their full potential and take advantage of a variety of possibilities that will elevate their expectations. We will make sure they leave us having learned to think, problem-solve, collaborate, express themselves in a way that demonstrates tolerance and respect, so they are capable, self-assured people. Our mission is to "work together to improve learning for all" in order to provide great results for our students.
