I'm happy to welcome you to our website in my capacity as the principal of Barnsley Academy. I hope that it provides you with all the information you need about the academy, but more importantly, gives an insight into life here and enables you to celebrate with us the achievements of our incredible students, families and staff. We think keeping things straightforward is important in the rapidly evolving world of education. Our mission is to offer the greatest school in the middle of the neighbourhood. To do this, we are dedicated to giving each of our students the individualised attention they need to reach their full potential and realise their ambitions. In addition, the academy is motivated by a desire to collaborate with parents and carers to create a setting that fosters high expectations and standards at every stage while providing a truly holistic and inclusive approach. United Learning, a network of schools and academies with the mission of offering top-quality instruction to all children and young people in the nation, is the sponsor of our academy. As a United Learning academy, we are able to collaborate with a large network of prosperous schools around the country and do more than any single institution could. All of United Learning's schools and academies are able to bring out "the best in everyone" by collaborating, including teachers, parents, students, and the larger community. With our kids at the centre of everything we do, we are a school that is rapidly improving, something that Ofsted applauded during our most recent inspection. As Principal, it is an honour to work with such committed professionals and amazing children. Our team works incredibly hard and is committed to enhancing the life opportunities and options for all of our students.
