We appreciate you taking the time to look around our website and learn more about Barnes Junior School. Our accomplishments throughout the previous academic year make us tremendously proud, and we have great expectations for continued success in 2019–20. This year we are excited to be part of the Primary Writing Project, with a big emphasis on talk for writing and also being part of the Great North Maths Hub research team as we develop the Maths Mastery approach. As a 3 form entry Junior school, we prepare our children for the next step towards secondary education, ensuring that we balance the rigours of basic skills with a creative approach to learning and lots of exciting learning opportunities. We are a fully inclusive school, and we strive to ensure that every learner, regardless of their starting points, reaches their potential. Our website, which chronicles the everyday Barnes experience, is updated frequently. We would be happy to show you around if you want to learn more.
