All students at Banister Primary School have a drive for going above and beyond expectations. The school is thriving, varied, and forward-thinking. We sincerely think that every child should have confidence in their own skills, be proud of their learning, and rejoice in their accomplishments. We think that in order for our kids to achieve, we need to give them an enriched curriculum that builds on their prior knowledge and experiences. We actively work to highlight and appreciate our similarities and differences as a culturally diverse school, drawing on the richness of knowledge from both the kids and the parents. Every child is urged to be a self-assured, inquisitive, tolerant, positive, healthy individual with an independent mind who respects the diversity of others. We keep the school up to date with the newest technologies so that students can receive instruction no matter where they are—on the playground, in the learning deck, in the classroom with and from each other, or even at home. We think that learning should take place everywhere and that anything may be an educational opportunity.
