We are a busy primary school, located in the conservation village of Bagthorpe, near Underwood, Nottinghamshire. Bagthorpe Primary School is a special and happy place, where children are given the very best opportunities to learn for life, to grow together and to achieve their full potential. We aim for excellence in achievement and personal development by having a stimulating curriculum, which closely matches the needs of our children and encourages them to be confident, motivated and enthusiastic learners. We believe that learning should be fun, that children should have a childhood enriched by the highest standard of education and that their school days should provide happy memories to last a lifetime. The school, which dates from 1873, is situated on a five-acre site, which includes woodland areas, ponds, a school field, garden and play areas.
