We offer "An Open Door To Learning" at Yapton CE Primary School. According to our vision, we study for life. One big family here. Our school's activities are guided by our Christian principles. Creativity is one of our values. In accordance with the law, we offer a daily act of worship (whole school or Key Stage) that is primarily Christian in nature. The children learn Christian principles and get acquainted with the Bible's teachings. The kids are encouraged to enjoy sung worship during a weekly hymn rehearsal. Regular visits from local church leaders help us out a lot (Rev Hayes, Hugo Van Driel and Paul Sanderson). St. Mary's Church hosts celebrations on the major Christian holidays. The staff and governors strongly support a Christian atmosphere. The curriculum and the whole culture of the school benefit greatly from our Christian principles. Underpinning a culture of doing our best, accepting responsibility, respect, and care is a strong emphasis on learning.
