How do we make sure that kids continue to "Believe" in themselves?
The ability of the teacher is to help students embrace making mistakes as a valuable learning experience by fostering a "growth attitude" in them (reference Carol Dweck).
Our kids will maintain their self-confidence despite challenges if they adopt a growth mentality.
The students' grins as they grow, their degree of self-confidence, and their awareness of right and wrong will all serve as indicators of their "achievement."
They'll be content and secure.
Additionally, it will be clear from our ongoing, excellent academic performance.
The problem for all of us as we become older is to fight the widespread belief that we can't accomplish things or that others are always better than us.
We give the students the "extras" they need to thrive by giving them opportunities to develop, such as participating in Wootton's Got Talent, taking the choir to the 02, holding weekly celebration assemblies and afternoon tea, going to various sporting events and activities, and hiring the best staff who genuinely care about your kids.
Our goal is for our students to graduate from our school as competent, self-assured, and resilient young people.
