Thank you for visiting Woodthorpe Infant School, a place where everyone is encouraged to "be kind, be bold, and be happy." Our vision was developed with input from all members of the school community, including students, teachers, and parents/caregivers. Be kind pertains to the apparent sense of showing compassion and understanding for one another, but it also refers to the way we give and receive criticism. Be brave reflects our 'school driver' to promote resilience and appropriate risk-taking not being afraid to make mistakes in our teaching, learning and parenting. Be Happy stands for our want to instruct, discover, and engage in activities that provide us joy. This increases our motivation and involvement. I absolutely believe that content employees lead to content kids, and content kids lead to content parents! I think it is clear to you how each of these claims reflects the entire Woodthorpe Infant School neighbourhood. We put a lot of effort into making sure the kids have access to a comprehensive, engaging, and interesting curriculum, are joyful and engaged, and engage in a variety of extracurricular activities every day. All of this is made possible by our professional and committed staff, who go above and beyond to ensure that our kids have the best experience possible while they are here. The school is open to visitors at any time. I am very proud of the positive attitudes, learning behaviours and quality of work that our children produce, therefore I believe the best time to visit is during the school day when all the children are learning. I wish you much fun as you browse the rest of the website.
