From the Westbury-on-Severn Church of England Primary School
For boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 11, there is a Church of England primary school called Westbury-on-Severn School.
The school's enrollment is 76 students.
The majority of the students are from Westbury-on-Severn, Blaisdon, Flaxley, and the nearby villages.
The school actively seeks to engage with the community of Westbury-on-Severn, where it is located, wherever feasible.
For its special services, such those for Easter and Harvest, the school rents out the church.
We gain from having a very strong relationship with the Church as an Aided School.
Through instruction and the way we live our daily lives, we model Christian principles for our children.
In addition to having an interest in the pedagogical and pastoral life of the school, the Church is also largely in charge of maintaining and improving our buildings through the Governing Body.
The school features three classrooms, an additional learning area, a library, a room designated for Bright Horizons, the on-site preschool, and an administrative unit with the head and secretary's offices, a staff room, and a specially constructed school hall.
Our own conservation area, which includes a pond, is located in the upper corner of the vast playing field. It allows us to give the kids "hands-on" experience with science projects and offers room for growing produce that can be used in the school's cooking programmes.
