With over 1,750 students, The Weald School is a mixed comprehensive school for ages 11 to 18.
All of our pupils, in our opinion, have the capacity to be exceptional.
The school has produced record outcomes in previous years and has done well.
We were happy to learn that the school received a "Outstanding" rating across the board in our October 2013 Ofsted inspection.
In 2019, student performance at the GCSE level was once again strong, with 70% of pupils earning a 4 or higher in both English and math.
With a rolling three-year average of +0.4 grades, students' performance on the Progress 8 scale, which gauges progress from KS2 to KS4, has been excellent recently.
This indicates that compared to pupils in the rest of the UK, children made an average +0.4 of a grade higher progress in each GCSE.
The Weald is among the top non-selective Sixth Forms in West Sussex and the South of England according to our long-term results.
All students have access to a variety of engaging options both inside and outside of school thanks to our broad and balanced curriculum.
Key Stage 4 is studied by students for three years.
Sport, the performing arts, Radio Weald, Weald TV, ongoing connections with our partner schools in Europe, Africa, and China, the Duke of Edinburgh award, as well as a number of other journeys, are just a few of the many extracurricular activities available at The Weald.
In a nutshell, we think that the school offers something for everyone.
The extensive variety of extracurricular and enrichment options offered to promote students' spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development is impressive, according to Ofsted.
Sincerely, I consider it a privilege and an honour to be able to oversee and advance the education of the kids at The Weald.
Both as a student and a staff member, the school is a great place to learn.
The Weald School is located on a lovely 25-acre campus on the outskirts of Billingshurst, where it serves the local community.
Our top-notch facilities enable us to provide a broad and varied selection of academic and practical courses at all levels.
There is also a swimming pool and fitness centre (adjoining the school site and run by DC Leisure / Horsham District Council), and two multi-use games areas.
In the classroom, highly qualified specialists use both cutting-edge and conventional teaching techniques.

One thing I have learnt is to never trust an Ofstead rating. Outstanding schools are exempt from inspection, and The Weald recieved their rating over 10 years ago. This is NOT a safe school. Bullying is rife and they know. They can deal with grievances but not bullying. Reports are impersonal and often clearly marked incorrectly. Homework is pathetic. But somehow grades are good and perhaps that's enough for Ofstead. The Government don't care about...
