Close to the village green, Weald Community Primary School is located in Weald Village.
In the summer of 2011, a new modular structure with two cutting-edge classrooms, air conditioning, and a changing room was added.
This has given the school more playground space and fantastic facilities for the growth of sport.
The replacement of the roof over the Pluto and Venus classrooms, along with the addition of a new canopy over the outdoor space, and the installation of a new boiler and heating system throughout the school, were additional improvement projects carried out during the academic year 2013–2014.
It was necessary to build an additional classroom and expand the staff, administration, and reception sections of the school when it added a class in September 2016 to create a total of 7 classes.
The age range for students at Weald Community Primary School is from five to eleven.
All Reception students are tenderly cared for at the start of the new school year and progressively assimilated into the school environment.
At the end of the summer term, transition afternoons are enjoyed by all classes so that students can become accustomed to their new classroom settings and meet their new teachers before the lengthy break.
The school is proud of its stellar academic performance and achievement in both the SATs and the PESE 11+ exams (see "Performance Results").
The implementation of staff middle management chances and the buddy system between Year 6 and Reception is evidence of the success of these strategies.
To make sure that students leave the school prepared for life in secondary school and beyond, a lot of transition work is done.
