The Warfield Vicar and Church Wardens received a plot of land from Lord Braybrooke in 1816 so they could construct a structure for the "volunteer instruction of destitute infants." Evidently because it was the sole location available in a region of productive agricultural land, Warfield School was erected on this property. In order to accommodate the evacuees that came to Warfield during the Second World War, the school was expanded. A diocesan report from 1950 refers to "the lovely new classroom for Infants." This is possibly a reference to the room that today serves as Juniors' home.
