From the Waingels
We have high expectations for all of our students and employees, and we want them to be proud of our school, our accomplishments, and our community.
Waingels "continues to be a good school.. where standards are growing rapidly," according to Ofsted's assessment.
Although Ofsted does not define us, we do acknowledge the need for external responsibility and are grateful for their approval of the accomplishments, advancements, and course we are taking.
In January 2018, the 2017 Performance Tables were released.
We are incredibly proud of what our students have accomplished.
Our Key Stage 4 students made excellent progress under the new regulations.
We are thrilled that the majority of our pupils go on to the sixth form and that 97% of our graduates secure a spot in a university or decide to pursue an apprenticeship or employment.
In Key Stages 3 and 4, our pupils complete an academic core curriculum.
However, our students also have access to a variety of practical and career-oriented courses, such as a wide range of performing and visual arts, physical education, and other humanities courses like business studies, psychology, and economics.
We provide a huge selection of extracurricular activities and groups that are not part of the regular curriculum.
Our students are also actively involved in the community, working with both domestic and international nonprofit organisations to generate money for worthwhile causes.
We recently had the pleasure of hosting Theresa May, the prime minister and our local member of parliament, at the school.
She came to see three Year 9 scientists who had won a Bill and Melinda Gates-sponsored national competition.
Waingels' employees are recognised by Ofsted as being sincere, dedicated, and determined, and they "will stop at nothing to make things even better."
