From the Urmston Grammar Academy
We are known for being a forward-thinking, dynamic learning community and a leader in education. Urmston Grammar is an excellent school. Our work as a Science and Language college has been recognised on a national level, and in September 2010 we transitioned into an academy. We are making use of our standing to make sure that our pupils continue to get a top-notch education. We applaud the pursuit of perfection and exhort everyone to perform at their very best. Our school's motto, "manners maketh man," refers to the heritage of decency and respect that we instil in our students. Students are guaranteed to obtain an education that equips them for a successful, fulfilling life in the challenging twenty-first century through instruction and facilities. Although newer portions of our school building contain features of modern architecture, much of the original structure has been preserved since it serves our needs well. These function in perfect harmony to create a great working environment. This is a reflection of our concept regarding education, which is rooted in enduring traditions while being open to fresh perspectives. Our school's success depends not just on how capable our kids are, but also on how skilled our staff is in fostering each person. Students are stretched and encouraged to realise their full potential. They must actively engage in school activities and provide a lasting and important contribution to their larger community. It is a huge honour and obligation to educate children. Thank you for giving us this responsibility, if you are the parent of a student already enrolled at the school. There are numerous opportunities to visit Urmston Grammar and observe the school in action if you are thinking about sending your child there. I know you will be impressed with all that we are able to offer our youngsters.
