From the Trinity Specialist College Ltd
Students with learning problems and challenging behaviours, impairments, and autism can get up to a 36-week programme at Trinity Specialist College, a post-19 further education college and day placement facility. In 2011, the College began operations. Two sets of working parents who had trouble finding suitable accommodations for their own young people with impairments founded it and now administer it. There are three huge classrooms in the open, airy facility that can each hold up to eight students. Group meetings, solitary workstations, ICT workstations, leisure rooms, and "safe zones" where students are encouraged to manage their anxiety on their own are all accommodated. Trinity Specialist College is a small, welcoming institution that currently accommodates 30 students at "The Lindridge," a renovated and extensively expanded farmhouse situated in a picturesque rural setting surrounded by farmland, and 10 students at a satellite location. Students can practise independence in the domestic kitchen and laundry, the sensory cabin, the second cabin, the wide yard with picnic tables, and the wet rooms for personal care.
