Fall Semester 2019 Welcome to our brand-new website.
Our youngest students have adjusted to school life incredibly well, and it is wonderful to see how much they are enjoying their studies. We have had a great term thus far.
A weekly session of forest school is now being enjoyed by YR, all of KS1, and Y3.
But we have a lot to be excited about!
Y5 and Y6 will spend their residential at Walesby Forest in May.
Reception, Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 have begun their Forest School lessons with Mr. Kirtley.
2019 Spring Term All the best for the coming year!
I wish you all well in the coming year and success in keeping your resolutions.
The Spring semester is a reasonably tranquil period after the hectic finish of the Autumn term, and everyone can anticipate a regular schedule filled with lots of hard work!
In February, we can all look forward to a Valentine's party.
World Book Day will be celebrated at the beginning of March, following half-term, and Y3 students will be thrilled to visit Sherwood Forest on a residential trip!
Y5 will lead us in our Easter Service at St. Mary's Church to close out the spring semester.
We had contractors in KS2 for the entire six-week holiday period.
Between the playground and the cemetery, we also have a brand-new perimeter fence that reaches all the way up to the top gate.
The kids' first day of school on September 5th was the quietest and most peaceful one in years!
We are happy to welcome numerous new team members in September.
The KS1 hall was furnished with new shades and drapes over the break.
Ys 4, 5, and 6 have already missed class to go on a visit, and I'm aware that Y1 has a guest scheduled as well.
SATs will be administered to students in grades Y2 and Y6 in May.
We'll make every effort to make these as stress-free as we can.
We all seem ready for some bright skies, sunshine, and playing on the grass, so let's hope that summer arrives soon.
2018 Spring Term I sincerely hope that everyone had a joyful Christmas and a joyous New Year and is now anticipating all that the Spring semester will bring.
A competition in athletics will kick off the term for Year 5 and 6 at Sir Thomas Wharton. Good luck!
Additionally, the NSPCC will be speaking to the kids in assembly at St. Mary's on remaining safe.
After that, Year 5 and Year 6 will each have a workshop to further discuss the concepts.
Year 5 will begin their weekly swimming lessons in the second half of the semester, and on March 1st, Year 3 will go for their overnight trip to Sherwood Forest.
The term will come to a close with Year 5 conducting our church's Easter service; parents and carers are cordially invited.
Despite the short length of this term, both the students and the staff will be highly busy.
If you would like to help in school for an afternoon (or two) a week you would be very welcome.
I appreciate your help.
