We were thrilled when Ofsted recognised the school in February 2015 and gave us a Good score overall.
Our church school was inspected in March 2016 and we received the award for Outstanding in every category!
The students must be engaged in order for learning to be memorable and enjoyable, and this is made possible by the learning surroundings.
We are a tiny school located in the centre of Sutton-cum-Lound, a village just outside of Retford.
In July 2017, we formally opened our new reception-aged classroom, which offers a wonderful learning environment for our youngest students as they start their educational journey with us.
Children who enrol in Portland Place Preschool at Sutton can start their adventure there.
Then, they can enrol in Foundation 2 with Sutton (also referred to as reception).
It can be challenging to choose the best school for your child, but we hope that our website will assist you in doing so and give you a sense of what Sutton-cum-Lound School is like and the learning opportunities we provide.
We provide extended care with a breakfast club starting at 7.45 am.
Everyday from 3.15 to 5.30 pm, Our Sutton Club is open (more details in the After School and Breakfast Club section of the website).
Children can learn a variety of skills after school, from athletics to the arts, through a variety of extracurricular activities.
For further information, see the website's Preschool and Clubs section.
We value our connections with the family of schools as a small village school.
These connections help and improve both the curriculum and the broader experiences we offer the kids, such as opportunities to learn about other cultures and participate in sporting activities.
This website seeks to introduce you to the institution while also regularly updating information for both parents and students.
I'd be delighted to meet you and your kid, show you around, and talk to you about the prospects Sutton-cum-Lound can offer.
To schedule a convenient time to visit or with any questions you may have, kindly get in touch with the school directly.
For the benefit of your kid, our school, and the community as a whole, we are all looking forward to collaborating with you.
