The teaching of Christianity, which is based on the life and work of Jesus Christ, is at the core of religious instruction at Stone School.
Love one another as I have loved you (John 13:34–35), encouraging one another to aim high.
The children's vision is framed in a Christian setting by the Bible scripture, "Love one another as I have loved you" (John 13:34–35), and the Good Samaritan story teaches youngsters about the importance of helping one another.
Through our Christian principles of community, tenacity, honesty, compassion, respect, and responsibility—each of which serves as a "stepping stone" to success—the entire community aspires to realise this vision.
All activities at Stone CE Combined School are guided by this goal.
Our emphasis on wellbeing, mental health, and "tools for life" is part of a comprehensive and varied curriculum that teaches kids to love and care for themselves and others.
Every half term, we concentrate on one of these principles and show the kids how to use it in both their schoolwork and daily life in general.
Through Bible readings and storytelling, Christian principles are ingrained into the faith.
Children are taught how to apply Jesus' life and teachings to their own lives using video clips and music.
In all facets of school life, children continue to examine these principles over time.
In our Friday Celebration Collective Worship, we recognise children who have "lived" one of the values by giving them a "Stepping Stone to Success."
We want to help our students acquire personal and moral values like respect for other people and their property, honesty, and a respect for religious beliefs as part of their overall education.
As a "Skills for Life" school, we encourage the kids to learn how to critically analyse information, make defensible judgements, and dedicate themselves to projects.
We have a strong commitment to our "Skills for Life" philosophy.
We encourage students to value education for its own sake and develop the knowledge and enthusiasm to see education as a lifetime process during their time at Stone School.

Great ties exist between our school and Stone's St. John the Baptist Church.
The Reverend Canon Dr. Phil Groves makes frequent trips to the school where he leads services and communal worship while also speaking to classes to promote learning.
We are fortunate that churchgoers come to our school each Monday morning to lead group worship using materials from "Open the Book."
As a member of the Wychert Vale Benefice, Rev. Nigel Featherston assists the school with teaching by working with youngsters.
We think that our kids' happiness is essential to their success as self-assured lifelong learners.
Therefore, we encourage our kids to actively participate in their education, mental health, and pursuit of healthy lifestyles.
The "Five Ways to Wellbeing"—"connect," "be active," "keep learning," "take attention," and "give"—offer students and staff concrete strategies for taking charge of their personal wellbeing.
We give kids and teachers plenty of chances to put these into practise, including growth mindset instruction, teaching kids and teachers how to notice their mental health and how to support it, Peer Mental Health Heroes, daily mindfulness, the Daily Mile, a variety of enrichment activities, and promoting and recognising acts of kindness in school.
One of the five ways to wellbeing is "giving," which is a focus for the students and faculty at Stone School.
We educate the children about the needs of different people both locally, nationally and internationally in order to develop empathy, care for others and the'life-long' inclination to help others.
Children have the opportunity to help others through National and Christian Charity days such as 'Red Nose Day', 'Children in Need' and Harvest festival but alongside this the children, in their 'Houses' voted to support specific charities for which they raise money annually.
Stone School has always played a crucial role in village life and continues to do so.
The school is lucky to have sizable outdoor spaces that improve the kids' learning and fun.
These include an exciting outdoor learning area for EYFS, a school playground, school field and a beautiful Peace Garden.
