The purpose of history instruction at Stamford Bridge School is to pique students' interest in and comprehension of historical figures and events. We impart a sense of chronology to children, and as a result, they grow to grasp their cultural history and sense of self. In modern multicultural Britain, kids thus come to cherish their own and other people's cultures, and by taking into account how people in the past lived, they are better able to make their own decisions about their own lives now. We also instruct students to look into these historical occurrences and, in doing so, to develop the abilities of inquiry, analysis, and critical thinking.
