The great Governing Body at St. Saviour's comes from a variety of backgrounds, and each member offers our school a special set of abilities. A school governor may be anyone who is at least 18 years old. No specialised training is required, and volunteers come from a wide range of experiences. The most crucial traits are commitment, enthusiasm, and a curiosity in learning. To become a governor, you don't need to have a relative who is enrolled in school or a college. You will have the following responsibilities as a school or college governor: evaluating the strategic direction, policies, and objectives; approving the budget; monitoring progress made in relation to the budget and objectives; challenging and assisting senior staff; and participating in the hiring of staff. Staff representatives, community governors, including parents or students, and other area sponsors, such corporations, make up the governing bodies of schools and colleges. Governing bodies consult committees before making decisions. The utilisation of public funds, the calibre of education delivered, and a broader commitment to the community are all under the purview of the governing bodies of schools and colleges.
