From the St Peter's Primary School
St. Peter's is a very special one-form entry primary school located between Ravenscourt Park and St Peter's Square, in the heart of a lively West London community. As one of the original charity schools established in West London, our institution is incredibly proud of its history. The terrible lack of even the most fundamental schooling for the children of labourers who resided in the area was discovered by George Scott and his daughter Lucy Hannah Scott. For children of labouring, manufacturing, and trade families in the aforementioned Chapel and District of Hammersmith, Lucy Hannah Scott established the school in 1849. St. Peter's continues to serve neighbourhood families and is still an inclusive institution. At St. Peter's, we believe passionately that the role of education is to ensure that all children are supported to achieve their full potential academically, whilst also providing them with opportunities and experiences to enable them to discover skills and talents in other areas of the curriculum, such as art, music, sport and drama. We place God firmly at the centre of all of our actions and endeavours since we are a voluntary-aided school with very strong ties to our local church. Our school community is made up of a highly skilled, motivated and committed staff team, a strong and visionary Governing body, supportive parents and carers, and enthusiastic and highly motivated children, who work together collaboratively to support the school in achieving its vision. As a reflective institution, we are committed to making sure St. Peter's keeps progressing, working to build on our numerous accomplishments, and giving our students a joyful and secure environment in which to learn.
