Let your light shine is St. Peter's mission statement. Matt. 5:16
St. Peter's is a terrific school with amazing students and a first-rate faculty.
In order to teach the National Curriculum in a way that is relevant and purposeful for our children, giving a purpose and context to their learning, while also maintaining our high standards in academic success to ensure our children achieve their potential and let their light shine, we continuously work hard at St. Peter's to develop our own constantly evolving, exciting, and engaging topic-based curriculum.
.
At St. Peter's, we are fortunate to enjoy a fantastic school location.
In all areas of the curriculum, we at St. Peter's want to give our students the opportunity to pursue their own interests and talents.
We established "Let your light shine" afternoons for this reason.
Every Friday throughout the summer session, we discuss with the kids a skill or aptitude that they displayed that year, which we will then continue to develop in a series of lessons.
Before graduating and imparting their knowledge to others, participants participate in the course over a period of weeks.
Woodworking, theatre, sculpture, cooking, excursions in forest schools, multi-skill sports, and coding are just a few of the recent courses offered, but they are always changing to give kids a variety of options based on their unique talents that emerge over the year.
The weekly newsletter and our own Social Media app, Class Dojo!, both share information about the several clubs we offer after school and the competitions and significant events we participate in each year.
At St. Peter's, we are honoured to be a church school.
Our six core Christian values—Friendship, Compassion, Peace, Love, Trust, and Respect—serve as the cornerstone of our school's ethos as we prepare our students to be excellent members of society. Our Christian vision, "Let your light shine," guides everything we do.
We instil this in our daily behaviour management practises and educate our kids to love, forgive, and respect one another.
Our behavior-management system, Class Dojo, also makes sure that parents are kept fully informed about their child's progress, triumphs, and behaviour.
We work hard to raise students who are reflective, strong, and compassionate and who will later significantly contribute to our society. Let them shine brightly at all times!
I hope I was able to offer you a flavour of life at St. Peter's.
Enjoy browsing the website to learn more about the wonderful experiences and accomplishments our kids have lately had, all made possible by our tremendously hardworking and committed team of teachers and support personnel.
But as I mentioned at the outset, going there is the best way to learn about St. Peter's.
