Since 1869, when Charles Kingsley's childhood friend the Reverend Richard Powles leased the freshly constructed Wixenford House and opened it as a boy's boarding school, there has been a school on the site of St. Neot's.
Eversley was the new location of St. Neot's when Mr. C. Locke assumed the building's lease in 1888.
Cyril Calliphronas, the founder of St. Neot, was the son of Greek exile Reverend D. P. Calliphronas.
Cyril founded his own school, St. Neot's in Sunningdale in 1886 with about 15 to 20 boys on the register after spending several years teaching in public schools.
He relocated the institution to Eversley in 1888, and he served as its headmaster there until his retirement in 1904.
Aubrey Hooper retired in 1955 and gave control of the institution to his son Christopher, who served in that capacity until 1989.
Following the retirement of Christopher Hooper, the Hooper family's leadership at St. Neot's came to an end. Richard Thorpe took over and guided the school over the following 22 years.
Maria Lloyd and Peter Withers, who had served as deputy heads, were named co-heads in 2013.
Plans for a new sports hall, floodlit tennis courts, astroturf fields, and a 25-meter enclosed swimming pool were approved while they were in office.
The Arts Council of England's gold standard Artsmark award was given to the school, and outdoor education was made a core component of the curriculum.
After Maria Lloyd's retirement in September 2015, Deborah Henderson was named Head.
