Where this structure stood is unknown, but by 1848, two schoolmasters and two school mistresses were instructing 100 students.
The Brown family contributed 200 and land for the construction of a new mixed junior school in 1857.
The responsibility for moral and religious education fell to the head teacher.
The managers, or early governors, were required to be members of The Church of England, own property in the village, and provide the school 20 shillings annually.
Children paid a penny per week to attend school up until 1891.
German measles, which was at one point widespread among the youngsters for more than three months, as well as cases of diphtheria, measles, influenza, and other infectious diseases.
The school was given "assisted status" by the 1944 Education Act, which meant that the Church of England was once again heavily invested in it.
The Governors had their own admissions policy and were in charge of maintaining the structures.
The Butterfield buildings deteriorated, and the infant room floor collapsed in 1957 as a result of dry rot.
A new school was constructed in 1963 after all but the infant room were removed.
The new school was started just adjacent to the old one.
The hall, which has gleaming parquet flooring and gymnastic apparatus, has been utilised for P.E. courses, assemblies, and lunchtime.
The sole component of the new school that was carried over from the old is the playground.
In 1964, the school purchased its playing field from the Browns, and in 1974, an infant block was erected to the school's back campus.
Aldbourne Preschool is currently housed at St. Michael's School, however other than minor aesthetic alterations, the structure hasn't changed much over the past 30 years.
Children have been attending school more frequently over the past few years, which reflects the quality of the instruction.
The Old School Room resumed its instructional usage in September 2013.
With a single classroom, large meeting room, kitchen, toilets & hot and cold water, 30 children moved over from the main building.
