Christmas has arrived, and the Imps have assisted us in kicking off Advent with their nativity and reflection on the Christmas Story.
We have begun our advent candle and have looked at some of the advent customs; we are eagerly anticipating the coming of Jesus!

This week was Anti-Bullying Week, and the themes of compassion and humility were prominent.
Along with self-belief, a significant portion of collective worship has focused on achieving our highest potential and living out our goal.
At the village's military memorial, worship services were held.

It was wonderful to greet the Imps and share in koinonia with them when they joined us this week for their first worship in the hall.
Collective Worship has been focused on us and everything we accomplished throughout the summer.
The past several weeks have been about having faith and believing in ourselves as we go forward. We have been encouraged to work hard and become our best selves.
This week, the Collective Worship Council led worship on the topic of forgiveness. Using balloons, we examined the significance of accepting responsibility and forgiving someone in order to free ourselves from the weight of resentment or hatred.
This week has been a tremendously fascinating week for worship.
This week, Mrs. Johnston, one of our governors, joined us.
Worship was considering fair trade this week; poor James, Mrs. Weaver traded away his Pokemon cards, but he was quite understanding!
We kept considering Lent, and Caitlin made us reflection letters for Lent.
Finally, we discussed the significance of forgiving ourselves when we mess up because doing so affects our wellbeing.
This week, we looked at The Lord's Prayer and how important forgiveness is to it.
We have also considered Lent and how, like Jesus, we must be ready!
Year 6 and Mrs. Blanchard have started to consider a Lenten challenge to help fund our community project.
We introduced our new value of forgiveness this past week.
We have considered the idea that God constantly extends forgiveness to us as a gift.
We have connected kindness and compassion to forgiveness.
This week, we've thought extensively about gratitude—being grateful for what God has given us, and being grateful for opportunities and experiences.
We have given some attention to our worship this week, including when we visited Whisby. We are grateful for Whisby, as well as for those who look after it and help us appreciate it.
Thankfulness for communication and staying in contact with our families and friends around the world has been the theme of this week.
We have also discussed how important it is to take care of oneself online and how respect may help us stay secure.
The historical account of Jesus' baptism, a Christian baptism at a church, and an understanding of the symbolism while revising our conceptions of the Holy Trinity are all related to baptism.
We have concentrated on prayer this week.
Worship was led by the Collective Worship Council, and we discussed how prayer is both inviting and inspirational.
A new school prayer is also developing.
We have emphasised choice and individual liberty in connection with justice during Collective Worship.
Mrs Weaver helped us to think about the way that God can help us to make good choices and guide us in this linked to our motto of believing and achieving to be the best we can be!.
This week has been about Advent and setting the scene for the coming weeks...we now have an advent candle lit everyday!. Collective Worship has focused on the Prodigal Son.
Year 3 led worship and retold the story as well as leading us in prayer about valuing and caring for all, no matter what!.
As part of worship this week, a member of the Jewish community joined us..
