St Matthias Church of England Primary School

We strive to establish a nurturing family environment so that children will grow up loving and understanding of others' differences and promoting equality for all individuals in our community and beyond. We want to educate our children the importance that diversity provides to the human experience as a whole, and we want everyone to be treated fairly, with respect, and understanding. We offer a safe and secure environment where children can feel empowered to meet our high expectations. Prioritizing the essentials of literacy and numeracy, we also work hard to spark our students' interest in learning and using higher order thinking skills. Since they give pupils the chance to gain confidence and enjoy performance, the Creative and Expressive Arts are an essential part of our curriculum. We base all we do on our mission statement and core values. Each of our guiding principles is related to a biblical story or verse. These ideas underpin all aspects of school life, including the school's behaviour codes. The principles honour the accomplishments of children, and our reward programme is based on the values as well. According to The Department for Education, we actively promote British values in schools to make sure that kids leave school prepared for life in modern-day Britain.
