St Mary's Church of England Middle School, Puddletown

We are a 9-13 middle school situated on the outskirts of Puddletown, five miles east of the county town of Dorchester, in the beautiful Dorset countryside. Our school is very proud of its students, staff, and governors, and we hope that this website will help you understand why. St. Mary's is a church school with an ethos built on the core Christian values of respect, forgiveness, justice, uniqueness, equality and acceptance. Our goal is to provide every student with the opportunity to realise their full potential in all spheres of life. The school collaborates closely with a number of neighbourhood churches and offers students the chance to partake in a variety of worship practises. We take pride in the fact that in our most recent two Church of England inspections, we were rated as an exceptional church school. We want the very best in both of behaviour and academic performance. Our pupils are given opportunities to develop independence, responsibility, respect and concern for others and demonstrate good manners, self-discipline and a good work ethic in their learning.
