Excellent rural elementary school St. Mary's is located in Lancashire's picturesque Claughton-on-Brock. In 1877, the school was established. Some of our kids are the second and third generations of their families to attend the church and school, which serve as the hub of the neighbourhood. Children who are new to our neighbourhood or who reside elsewhere than Claughton are also welcome. For transportation of kids to and from school, we have a minibus of our own. At St. Mary's, there are two classes: one for kids in Foundation/Key Stage 1 and one for kids in Key Stage 2. Our building is big and well-kept. Our facility includes two classrooms, a hallway, and a fourth room with a variety of functions, including small group instruction. One of the notable aspects of our school is the large, well-kept outdoor area. We have a large playing field which houses and adventure playground, a multi-purpose all weather pitch, a wildlife area, picnic tables, an outdoor classroom and a Foundation and Key Stage 1 outdoor learning area. A lovely Remembrance Garden is located in one of our grounds' corners. The neighbourhood came up with this in 2016. Our local church, St. Thomas the Apostle, and St. Mary's School have tight ties to one another and to the community. The website for Claughton-on-Brock has more details about the church and the town.
