Catholic Primary Voluntary Academy St. Malachy's Primary is located in the heart of the neighbourhood and Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes & St. Malachy's. The Blessed Peter Snow Catholic Academy Trust includes us. Our trust's educational institutions include St. John Fisher's in Dewsbury and Sacred Heart in Sowerby Bridge. We presently have approximately 190 students registered, ranging in age from 3 to 11 years old. We have six more classes of key stage 1 and key stage 2 students in addition to the Early Years Foundation Unit (Nursery and Reception). Although our current structure has undergone recent changes, the original structure dates back to 1952. Our goal at St. Malachy's is to provide a rich, top-notch education where we study, love, and develop with Christ at the centre, enabling each student to realise their full potential. In order for students to reach their best potential, the school is dedicated to maintaining high standards. All facets of a child's growth will be taken into consideration. As a Catholic school, we observe holidays with daily devotions, religious gatherings, and masses.
