From the St Luke's Primary School
We are a Christian school that serves a multicultural neighbourhood and collaborates with parents to help children grow holistically. Despite the fact that the current structure was only erected in 1999, St. Luke's has been serving the residents of Canning Town for 150 years. We have attendance records and discipline logs from the Victorian era to prove it! Education of the complete child is our passion. We place a high focus on academic performance, but we also strive for greatness in all other areas of our lives, whether they be spiritual, artistic, athletic, or community service. We accomplish this by having a committed team that collaborates closely to identify the capabilities of each of our kids and, most importantly, welcomes parental engagement to ensure we are successful with each child. I say that as someone whose prior work was in a 3 form entry school where that was really tough to achieve since core understanding and partnership are so more easier to build in a small school. We jealously guard the good things we already do while also looking to innovations to foster an attitude of ongoing development.
