School Info

St John's School is a Secondary, Co-Ed, Church of England school located in Surrey, South East.

It has 839 students from age 11-18 yr.

Tuition is £8,025 to £9,120 for the highest grade offered.

From the School
A clergyman named Ashby Haslewood, the vicar of St Mark's, Hamilton Terrace in St John's Wood, north London, founded St John's School in 1851.
He established the School with the dual goals of giving poor clergymen's sons free education and establishing a choir for his sizable church.
After the Second World War, St. John's had the good fortune to get the attention of Viscount Montgomery of Alamein, who was the son of a minister and served as the organization's chairman from 1951 to 1966.
The school has continued to grow, and the first girls were admitted to the sixth form in 1989.
The school originally admitted girls in the Fourth Form in 2010, and starting in September 2012, it was entirely co-ed.
With a brand-new Lower School for 11+ entrance, the School welcomed Year 7 students for the first time in September 2016.
Over 800 students presently attend St. John's.
It continues to uphold the ideas of its founding and provides free or reduced-priced education to children from low-income families, including those whose parents are clergy.
