At St. John's, we encourage daily collective worship because it gives students a chance to discuss what they read and hear in the Bible and how it relates to their everyday lives, both within and outside of school.
It is intended for collective worship to contain biblical teaching and Christian doctrine, with a focus on Jesus Christ and God the Father and Holy Spirit.
Our daily worship is led and participated in by visitors from a variety of Christian traditions, and students actively participate in it.
Every child has the right to a top-notch education, according to our philosophy at St. John's C. of E. Academy.
Our school is filled with displays of our ideals.
We reviewed our Christian principles in 2019.
We at St. John's think that spirituality should be open to experimentation and creativity.
It fosters self-well-being and helps to support inner wellness to feel connected to something greater than ourselves through spirituality.
At St. John's, spirituality is defined as "being" as opposed to "doing."
Spirituality entails taking the time to ponder the big questions of life, such as what it all means and why we are here, as well as having the chance to think about the principles we should live by.
We think that spirituality improves people's relationships with themselves, their families, their friends, those around them, God, and all of creation. It also enhances their awareness of and capacity to relate to others and to society as a whole.
Students in the foundation stage will be open-minded and willing to use their imaginations.
They will be open to wonder, enthusiasm, and a dynamic sense of inquiry.
The big concerns about life and living start to pique KS2 students' curiosity more and more.
