The daily act of group worship is seen as an essential and significant component of our everyday school life at St. James' RC Primary School.
We have a chance to deepen our relationship with God via corporate worship.
There are many ways to worship, including private prayer, group prayer in both formal and casual settings, and the Eucharistic celebration, which is the main form of worship for the Catholic community.
As a result, prayers are said by the students and staff of St. James at the start of the school day, before and after lunch, and at the end of the day.
Every Monday and Friday, the entire school attends an assembly.
Our award assembly, held on Fridays, gives us a chance to recognise and honour students for their accomplishments both within and outside of the classroom.
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each have a separate time for KS1 and KS2 assemblies.
Every half term, Father David, our parish priest, offers class Masses in the school with the students, teachers, and parents.
Additionally invited is the St. James the Great Parish community.
Every half-term and on Holy Days of Obligation if they fall during school hours, the students attend whole school Masses at our parish church.
The Mass's structure is influenced by the students at St. James.
