From the St Helens College
With a track record of delivering high-quality education since 1896, we are one of the largest providers of further and higher education in the Northwest. Students of various ages and academic levels are accommodated at St Helens College. We have two primary locations, the Town Center Campus and the STEM Center, Technology Campus, where we offer courses and training to almost 8,000 students. More than 65 million dollars have been invested on the buildings at both campuses in recent years to make sure we have the necessary infrastructure to support the curriculum and to give students a really first-rate educational experience. Our facilities are exceptional, including a purpose built animal unit, hair and beauty salons which are open to the public, a fine dining restaurant run by students, music, TV and radio studios and much more. In order to address the skills gap and support the region's economic recovery, St Helens College collaborates closely with businesses from all around the Liverpool City Region. We have strong ties to the corporate community, the local community, and the industry. This not only allows us to provide excellent opportunities for our students to gain work experience placements, apprenticeships and job opportunities but for the college to help employers ensure that they have a skilled workforce needed for the future.
