From the St Cuthbert's Catholic High School
In the St. Helens Authority in the north-west of England, there is a comprehensive Catholic high school called St. Cuthbert's that serves students ages 11 to 16. It is voluntary-aided. There are 810 students registered, of whom 45% are Catholic, 33% are from other Christian denominations, and 22% belong to other faiths or religious groups. We are a distinguished Catholic Christian institution. We are a school where children thrive as a consequence of staff members' sensitivity to their needs and pervasive sense of justice. We have pupils at our school who are eager to recognise and applaud the accomplishments of others and who are self-assured enough to accept full responsibility for themselves and their actions. In order to live out the Good News of Jesus Christ, to love God and our neighbour, we work together as a school community as a Christian family.
