St Christophers School

Mrs. Jane Kenyon is the proprietor of the private school St. Christopher's School. The Headmistress, Mrs. Alexandra Cottell, is in charge of overseeing the daily operations of the school. It is a school with a non-selective Christian atmosphere. At St. Christopher's, we strive to understand your child's needs and abilities while also providing them with security and a sense of belonging to the school family. We do this by treating your child as an individual. We seek to give strong foundations based on a clear Christian ethos, resulting in sound values and the capacity to make clear judgements, in order to prepare pupils not only for the next stage of education but also for the wider world. Education requires collaboration. We require and demand steadfast support from home. The familial environment at St. Christopher's promotes a joyful, cooperative approach, including parents' casual access to the teaching team. A brief progress report is given at halftime and a comprehensive subject-based report is given twice a year as part of our formal reporting system. There are formal parents' nights during the Autumn and Summer Terms. Every student is ready to start secondary school, and considerable care is taken to make sure that their transition to the next level of education is as easy and successful as possible. The school has a long history of effectively preparing students for the Common Entrance Examinations for Public Schools and the 11+ Entrance Examinations for the top local grammar schools.
