From the School
St. John said, "Love one another as I have loved you." At St. Bernadette's, we strive to have content children who enjoy and benefit from the educational opportunities provided by our academy. We work to foster children's spiritual, moral, and social growth in a Catholic, Christian atmosphere founded on gospel principles and to provide an inclusive environment at our academy for all students, regardless of gender, special needs, disability, or race. When children are in an environment that is warm, kind, and safe, which we always work to provide, children will develop their abilities, skills, and attitudes to their fullest potential. We are aware that when parents and the academy collaborate, we are most successful in all of our work for the kids at St. Bernadette's.

Disabled pupils, those with special educational needs, those who speak English as an additional language and those who are entitled to the pupil premium receive outstanding support and make outstanding progress.

Outstanding leadership has led to marked improvements in all areas of school life since the time of the last inspection.

The checking of teaching and learning is extremely rigorous and information gained from these activities is used astutely to improve their quality.

The Early Years provision is not yet as well developed as the school would like, but improvements are planned.

In almost half the lessons seen, teaching was outstanding, and pupils thrive on challenging questions and finding things out for themselves.
