From the St Bartholomew's School
St. Bartholomew's School was established in 1466 and takes great pride in its outstanding history and traditions.
It presently serves Newbury, a large portion of West Berkshire, and the Hampshire/Wiltshire boundary with 1,751 pupils enrolled in its thriving 11–18 comprehensive school, which now has a thriving Sixth Form with over 420 students.
Academically, the school is very successful.
St. Bartholomew's was listed as one of the UK comprehensive schools with the highest success rates for sending students on to prestigious universities in the 2011 Sutton Trust Report.
St. Bartholomew's received Academy status in September 2011; this came as a logical result of the school's prior Grant Maintained and Foundation status.
The school takes great satisfaction in developing connections both locally and abroad.
West Berkshire Council selected St. Bartholomew's to receive a multi-million pound investment of central government cash for renovation in 2008.
All students have access to a variety of fresh learning and entertainment options thanks to the extracurricular activities.

I love how nice the teachers are and how helpful they are. they really got out of their way to make sure you have all the right resources to do the best that you can. They are very welcoming and will help with any problems. St Bartholomew's is a great school and I would really recommend.
